1. Introduction
1.1
This policy supplements our Privacy Policy and forms part of our Terms and Conditions. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in those documents.
2. Definitions
2.1
- “Cookie”
- A small text file placed on your device by a website you visit, commonly used to remember preferences or measure usage.
- “Local storage”
- Browser storage technology used to persist data such as your cookie consent choice until cleared.
- “Similar technologies”
- Includes pixels, tags, SDKs, and scripts that store or access information on your device.
3. Cookie categories
3.1
We classify technologies as follows:
- Strictly necessary — required for core operation, security, or storing your consent decision.
- Analytics — optional measurement of aggregated traffic and navigation patterns.
3.2
We do not deploy non-essential marketing or advertising cookies on the public directory at this time. If that changes, we will update this policy and request consent before activation.
4. Strictly necessary cookies
4.1
These technologies are essential. They cannot be disabled through our preference centre without breaking core functionality.
| Name / technology | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| pp_cookie_consent(local storage) | PlatformPapa | Records analytics opt-in/opt-out and consent timestamp. | Until cleared |
| Session / auth cookies | PlatformPapa | Authenticate administrators in the protected admin area. | Session |
5. Analytics cookies (optional)
5.1
Deployed only after you accept analytics cookies or choose “Accept all” in our banner or preference centre.
| Provider | Cookie examples | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics (Google LLC) | _ga, _ga_* | Distinguish users and sessions; produce aggregated statistics. IP anonymization enabled where supported. | Up to 24 months |
5.2
Google may process data in the United States. See Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
6. Affiliate and server-side measurement
6.1
When you click certain outbound partner links, we may log the event on our servers (timestamp, link identifier, referrer, anonymized IP hash). This processing does not rely on marketing cookies in your browser and is further described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Consent management
7.1
On first visit, we display a cookie banner offering Accept all, Reject non-essential, and Manage preferences. Your choice is stored in local storage.
7.2
You may withdraw or change consent at any time:
Footer link: Cookie settings · Policy page button above · Clear site data in your browser (resets all choices).
7.3
Withdrawing analytics consent stops new analytics cookies from being set. Previously placed cookies may persist until they expire or you delete them manually.
8. Browser controls
8.1
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Consult your browser help pages for instructions. Blocking all cookies may prevent the site from remembering your consent preference.
9. Legal basis — EEA & UK
9.1
- Strictly necessary — legitimate interests in providing a secure, functional website and storing consent (GDPR Recital 30; PECR Regulation 6).
- Analytics — your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); ePrivacy consent requirement).
10. Notice — United States
10.1
Where US state law treats analytics or affiliate measurement as sale or sharing, you may opt out by rejecting non-essential cookies and contacting privacy@platformpapa.com. We do not sell cookie data for monetary consideration.
11. Changes
11.1
We will update this Cookie Policy when technologies change. Check the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may require renewed consent.
12. Contact
12.1
Cookie enquiries: privacy@platformpapa.com or the quote form (reference “Cookie policy”).
